Southern Pecan Cookies

Southern bitter cream pecan cookies are good anytime and great for the vacations.

Course Cookies

• 1/2 cup oil I take advantage of Canola
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
• 1/2 cup bitter cream
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup pecan items

Topping

• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

• In a big mixing bowl whisk collectively the oil, eggs, sugar, vanilla and bitter cream. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and soda and blend nicely with a big spoon. Fold in pecans. In a smaller bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Batter will appear like cake batter.
